Generally speaking, the foam used in Berkline is of lower quality than say Lane or Palliser. Of course, they have brainwashed folks into buying into the notion of plush.

The challenge you have is that most folks are shocked when it comes to the price of seating and tend to expect retailers to have them for a lot cheaper. The problem is that home theater rarely goes on clearance and therefore has less price pressure than say other types of furniture.
