Mold in my house

So I have mold in my house. I know I need to kill off the supply of moisture, which I'm working on, but that won't kill the mold that is already there. I have read a lot about people using the bleach/water solution but I've also read that that can cause it to spread the mold elsewhere and doesn't actually kill it off completely. Any suggestions for what to do before I call in the pro's?

Thank you!

Re: Mold in my house

Well, I've been looking around, and I ended up finding IndoorRestore - indoorrestore.com - and I'll be using them. I've gotten a few price quotes and they are the best I've seen so far. I'll let everyone here know about it once they've remediated everything.

Re: Mold in my house

The rules to reduce and remove mold from your house fortunately apply to mildew as well. Primarily, the best way to prevent mold is to keep the house clean and dry. Mold and mildew thrive in damp, warm environments.

Re: Mold in my house

I have found bleach and water to be one of the best items to use. You will also want to get a industrial air purifier that you can rent from a local equipment rental store.
